Today we launched LEAD – Learning Equity & Action for Daily Nutrition at the NFBM Jagriti School for Blind Girls, Alandi. In India we once fought hunger. Today we must also confront a new paradox - children who have food, but not the understanding of what, how much, and when to eat. LEAD begins with a simple belief: Health education must be dignified, inclusive and preventive. Launching at a school for visually impaired girls was intentional. Nutrition awareness must reach every child, not just those who can see the labels. Grateful to Dr. Jayashri Todkar for her scientific leadership, and to Dr. Damini Saner for empowering students on oral health and sugar awareness. This is not a campaign. It is the beginning of a statewide movement. Helping children learn what, when, and how much to eat - for life. #LEAD #WorldObesityDay #ChildHealth #NutritionSecurity
