Of course the term "comic" is also used in Japan to describe manga? Comiket (comic market)? Ladies Comics?

So "manga" means comics by translation. The words are literally interchangeable when talking about the medium but also we can refer more to the style of the medium as well. With Manga denoting a style originating in Japan. So these are manga characters and it looks fun as hell.

RIP Yuji Ohno. Although he's most well known for doing all the Lupin music, I'm very fond of the work he did on Space Adventure Cobra as well as the several Yusaku Matsuda movies he composed for. Here's Crystal King's cover of the Lupin III theme

I'm glad at the "faithful" adaptation of Ghost in the Shell because it seems that they will finally depict "amenomihashira", the core idea of GitS.
Funnily enough, all the GitS anime adaptations have ignored that idea.
Many people didn't know what the "net" actually meant.
