People who went out this weekend….. What was the best set you heard?

@DiskullOfficial Really depends what your goals are I guess. When I started djing locally it was for fun, which was always achieved whether it was a show to 10 or 100 people getting paid $50 or $100. Then you start playing bigger shows and think maybe there’s more to achieve

people always ask me for advice on becoming a DJ… not to discourage anybody from following their dreams, but my first suggestion would be to consider other fields in the industry that you may enjoy or be more (easily) successful in. unless you have the right mindset and are willing to grind your way up the ranks as a local / regional / national DJ it may be in your best interest to stick to DJing as a hobby. if you really want to be in the music industry, there are tons of other roles you can take on and likely succeed faster than going the artist route. this is just my personal opinion. what are y’all’s thoughts?

Promoters getting mad you’re not coming to their show…. “I didn’t even see anything for it” is the best response ever. The look on their face.

Normalize releasing music without a marketing budget or campaign strategy Normalize releasing music just for yourself So that way when you die, your canon will live on forever Because in 100 years nobody will care how many plays/views you got. They only care if it exists.
