i figured it'd be fun to do a lil time lapse of reworking the posthog about page. so here's a bit of me moving some words and shapes around, and then writing come code.

I don’t think we pay enough attention to how much of a mistake it was for Microsoft to require the “.docx” extension for newer documents. They should have figured out how to keep “.doc”, which is far more iconic.

@flpsnd 🌶️ hard to tell if you're talking about the *website* (if you don't like windows, try website mode) or the PostHog app, but if you want to bypass the site and get to the app directly, just type us.posthog.com or eu.posthog.com, whichever you use.

the new posthog website is a prime example of why you shouldn't let your designers take LSD and revamp your whole website. the UX absolutely sucks and I hate it, I don't want to wait 30 seconds to open my analytics. IT'S NOT THAT HARD TO FIGURE OUT IT'S A BAD IDEA BTW

@ninepixelgrid @figma I circumvent the problem by installing a link interceptor called choosy . It acts as os default browser and when you click on any hyperlink anywhere, it brings up a little browser selector and for Figma links opened from slack, I select the Figma desktop app as the destination

such a first-world problem but i would *love* if @figma's desktop app could hijack link clicks so opening a file from a Slack link doesn't open in the browser and *then* open in the desktop app. Apple does this with links with various apps. is this a technical limitation for 3rd parties?

- pressing the flashlight tile should turn the light on - that's it (it no longer does this) - pressing and holding the control center tile should open the option to adjust brightness (it doesn't do this) - after turning on the light, the primary CTA should be to turn *off* the light, not to adjust brightness such a small feature that affects millions of people and yet @Android managed to get it so wrong somehow 🤡

my heart is full of gratitude. there is so much evil and hate in the world. I have no control over any of it. but what I can do is raise great humans and make the people around me smile. and you never know how those interactions might impact someone. ❤️
