This is a huge problem in gaming right now. A bunch of theater kids who couldnt break into Hollywood got jobs writing for game studios. But they dont give a shit about video games, they wanted to make movies. There is nothing wrong with games wanting to be cinematic but it has to be combined with good gameplay and most of these games are unplayable or glorified cut scene simulators.

@MattGajtka it would have helped if they scored more than 2 goals in any of those games, including the game they won.

The Flyers ended up losing six of their last seven playoff games. That's actually hard to do.

the DKC games are quintessential eurojank that have slightly more polish than your average amiga release but are still just alright at most tropical freeze is better than 90% of nintendo games

@MoonPieDreams @Lord_Wompus I'll give you 3D platformers and Wrestling. FPS and Racing are a wash. Sports are better on Saturn unless you like the Blitz/Hangtime arcade style.

@Lord_Wompus Hey now, it does have better 3D platformers, FPS, wrestling, and arguably sports (heck, I'd even argue it has superior racing games than Saturn!). I love my N64, man! Great couch multiplayer, too. N64 and Saturn excel in different areas. 5th gen was just too sweet.

This was meant as a diss on Sega Saturn, but as someone who enjoys video games, that sounds pretty damn good to me! 🤣 Usually, naysayers argue that Saturn is too arcade-oriented, but this guy even mentioned RPGs! 🤷‍♂️ That line about racing games being tech demos? What?! 🤔

@bitfan2011 @MoonPieDreams I'd still prefer Guardian Heroes, Panzer Dragoon Saga, and Dragon Force over anything in the N64's Library.

@MoonPieDreams if you didn't play imports, i can understand being disappointed with saturn. thankfully i was importing modchips and "silvers" by the late 90s iirc. now that we have easy access to entire libraries, you can see how many good games saturn got in japan
