Nepal is heading toward a significant supply-demand mismatch in the energy sector. We are celebrating our generation pipelines, but a #CapacityStorm that is brewing needs a serious technical and financial comprehension at the top. @SwarnimWagle @watersagar

@medsane Let the incoming breath first? You want a country that has 3rd stage cancer to be reversed overnight? Where is the benefit of doubt for at least the mandate of the people?

@nvmhacker @narendramodi Do you read historical documents, Hemant Ji? Being a patriot does not mean your own country is always right. It also means passionately studying history and digging up evidences.

@narendramodi Modi ji, give the Nepali PM a lesson — he has projected some territories of Bihar and UP as part of "Greater Nepal" territories. Make sure he's thrown out of his PM post. It will be soothing to see him selling momos.

Coming back to Hayek’s argument, there was another aspect of it that has always bothered me. What if computational power of central planners improved tremendously? Would Hayek then be happy with central planning?

Nepal faced a major environmental crisis in the 1970s as forests were degraded by grazing and fuelwood harvesting. After a 1993 law handed forest management to local communities, forest cover rebounded dramatically, rising from about 26% in 1992 to 45% in 2016 through community-led protection and natural regeneration. Nepal’s LDC graduation is a proud milestone, but also requires careful preparation to sustain gains & build resilience. #irreversibleGraduation🇳🇵 The recent @ilo assessment notes that, while there remain opportunities for growth & innovation, exports could decline by 2.5–4.3%, nearly 132,000 jobs may be at risk (about half held by women), & economic losses could reach ~$1B over 5 years. linksshrink.com/kk

I warmly congratulate the people and Government of Nepal on the successful and peaceful conduct of elections. It is heartening to see my Nepali sisters and brothers exercise their democratic rights so vibrantly. This historic milestone is a proud moment in Nepal’s democratic journey. As a close friend and neighbour, India remains steadfast in its commitment to working closely with the people of Nepal and their new Government to scale new heights of shared peace, progress and prosperity.

@SurjaKarki @Bsabi2022 @sumnima_udas RPP leaders held Nepal's PM post 4 times (1997, '98, 2002, '03) & supplied 13+ ministers/deputy PMs in coalitions (1990s:6, 2014:2, 2017:1+, 2022:3+1). I respect many of RPP leaders. RPP is not only opposition mate. Convince me they are really great as you seem to defend.

And so it begins. A new chapter—stepping into the messy but necessary world of Nepali politics. I’ve joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) as a Proportional Candidate for the House of Representatives. Born in Nepal, raised across the world, I never had one place to call home—but Nepal was always that place. Like so many young Nepalis abroad, I carried this country with me, wondering why a nation with so much potential struggles to move forward. After 15 years at CNN International, I returned to help build a world-class museum in Lumbini. Working closely with the government showed me the harsh realities of poor governance and corruption—but also how much Nepal could achieve if we chose to do things differently. This isn’t about power. It’s about choosing action over silence. About believing that globally experienced young Nepalis don’t have to lose hope—we can come back and help change things. My work in Lumbini continues. But this journey is about something bigger: better governance, honest leadership, and a future where the next generation doesn’t have to leave Nepal to dream big.

@nirnayabhatta @Bsabi2022 @sumnima_udas RSP have led Home, Education, Sports, Youth, Health and Labour ministry and been DPM twice. They are part of the same rot & swear by this system/constitution so they can not change anything. RPP is only opposition, rest are all the same just wearing different cloaks to fool.

#industrialization #jobs
Jostein Hauge@haugejostein

The idea that developing countries can skip industrialization — and instead develop based on services — is fundamentally misguided. Except for very small countries, *every* country that has transformed its economy from low- to high-income has done so via manufacturing.

@Bsabi2022 @nirnayabhatta @sumnima_udas No, it happened due to the policy followed after 2062. RSP staunchly supports the same broken system and foreigner imposed divisive constitution that insults ours rich history, culture and icons. Parties that support the Constitution (NC, Communists, RSP) all are culprits

@Bsabi2022 @SurjaKarki @sumnima_udas #changemymind. Surja Ji thinks it did. You can mop the floor forever, but until you fix the leak, you're just busy and soaked. If Surja Ji truly is a serious person to listen to, let's get to the source of the problem?

@nirnayabhatta @sumnima_udas Sir, it's logical deduction from the kind of people flocking towards RSP. They are all directly/indirectly beneficiaries of foreign funding (NGO, INGO, activism, employment) and all of them endorse/espouse "liberal woke" ideology while maligning our culture, values and history!
