It’s a positive step that our Hon’ble Supreme Court has reviewed the case on the removal of community dogs. 🐾 Today’s morning session (Court No. 13) heard arguments from senior advocates highlighting the Delhi Government & MCD’s neglect and complete failure in implementing effective sterilization and immunization programs — despite this being their duty under law. Notably, Delhi has recorded ZERO rabies cases in the past 2 years, showing that community dogs here are healthy, vaccinated, and part of the ecosystem. Yet, instead of strengthening animal birth control measures, the MCD has failed to maintain best practices, creating unnecessary conflict. The bench of justices has reserved the matter for further hearing — giving us hope for a humane and lawful outcome that ensures the safety, freedom, and dignity of our innocent animals.
