📍 New Delhi 🔵 Today marks the launch of PLI Scheme 1.2 for Specialty Steel and the signing of MoUs with industry partners, an important milestone in strengthening India’s high-value steel manufacturing ecosystem, in line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi avaru. 🟢 Under PLI 1.2, 55 companies have submitted 85 applications, committing ₹11,887 crore in investments and creating 8.7 million tonnes of new specialty steel capacity by FY’31. 🟠 These investments will reduce import dependence, enhance global competitiveness, and accelerate India’s journey towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India. @SteelMinIndia #SpecialtySteel #MakeInIndia #AatmanirbharBharat
