We forget: In life, it doesn't matter what happens to you or where you come from. It matters what you do with what happens and what you've been given.

These Commie leeches have always read Tagore wearing their red glasses; hence, they fail to understand that his definition of secularism was primarily based on ‘Hinduism first’ notion, and would in no way match the Commitards’ undying love for Islamists. In fact, Tagore did not like the two Abrahamic religions, and he clearly said, “There are two religions in earth, which have distinct enmity against all other religions. These two are Christianity and Islam. They are not just satisfied with observing their own religions but are determined to destroy all other religions. That’s why the only way to make peace with them is to embrace their religions.” (Original works of Rabindranath Vol. 24, page 375, Vishwa Bharti edition 1982). In an interview with the Times of India in 1924, Tagore said, “An important factor which is making it almost impossible for Hindu-Muslim unity to become an accomplished fact is that the Muslims can not confine their patriotism to any one country. I had frankly asked (the Muslims) whether, in the event of any Mohammedan power invading India, they (Muslims) would stand side by side with their Hindu neighbours to defend their common land. I was not satisfied with the reply I got from them… Even such a man as Mr Mohammad Ali (one of the famous Ali brothers, the leaders of the Khilafat Movement-the compiler) has declared that under no circumstances is it permissible for any Mohammedan, whatever be his country, to stand against any Mohammedan” (also quoted by Sita Ram Goel in his book ‘Muslim Separatism – Causes and Consequences’ 1987). In “Swamy Shraddananda’’, written by Rabindranath (Magh, 1333 Bangabda), he asked the Hindus to get rid of their inherent weakness ~ “Weakness harbours sin. So, if the Muslims beat us and we, the Hindus, tolerate this without resistance: then, we will know that it is made possible only by our weakness…We can appeal to our neighbour Muslims, ‘Please don’t be cruel to us. No religion can be based on genocide’ ~ but this kind of appeal is nothing, but the weeping of the weak person… if weakness is cherished and be allowed to exist, torture comes automatically; nobody can stop it.” He also said ~ “Possibly, the Hindus and the Muslims can make a fake friendship to each other for a while, but that cannot last forever. As long as you don’t purify the soil, which grows only thorny shrubs you can not expect any fruit.” FYI @GhoshSamyak … if you had read and understood Tagore fully, I doubt if you would have called him ‘brilliant.’ You would have labelled him a ‘Sanghi’ too!

It’s bizarre to compare two different genres of films and film makers. And, this is true for both, the original post dissing Ray and the one below comparing Dhurandhar with Ray’s oeuvre. It’s like comparing a Kiarostami or a Majidi film with a Tarantino film. On another note, with Dhurandhar, the pop/mass Hindi film is moving away from its annoying need to infantilise the audience. Dhar expects the audience to do homework both, before and after watching the film. The research is meticulous, the casting is impeccable. There are many poignant moments in the film that make you see the life of a spy with a different eye. However, the one that spoke to me the most was when Hamza/Jassi is walking towards the plane that will carry him home, while Jamali watches him with an almost tearful eye. The emotion is not just of saying goodbye to a teammate/family, it is the emotion of a man who has been in an alien land for 45 long years, knowing that he may never see his homeland again. I don’t if Dhar asked the actor to bring that emotion in his eyes, or if Mr. Bedi improvised in that moment, but it added such weight to the scene that I had a lump in my throat. That moment did not need any dialogue. The silence was deafening, the emotion was heart-wrenching.

Can Dhurandhar Dhar create a single frame like any of these?! Unrelated, but can’t help but notice that 1963-64 was Ray’s years in world cinema. Mahanagar & Charulata were released successively. Today clowns are talking about Dhurandar 1&2. Absolute degeneracy!

@perfectminz Him and Gaurav Gera - they consistently worked on their craft for years, did memorable iconic roles in Television, struggled due to being typecasted to one genre; only to eventually shine for versatility. Classic Saturn energy - delayed success only to deliver it mutiple fold.

ranveer's dhurandhar physique breakdown and timeline reality: • thick chest, full shoulders, developed back • clear muscle separation without being shredded • size that reflects years of progressive overload all this... at 40 years old the amount of confusion around this physique is wild. some people are looking at it and thinking "he's not even that lean, anyone can do this in a year with a good trainer." wrong. completely wrong. you're not adding 15kg of lean tissue in a year. not at 20 and definitely not at 40. the main point alot of people are missing is the size. the actual muscle tissue sitting on his frame. that doesn't happen in 12 months no matter how much money you throw at trainers, chefs, or supplements. at 40 even with chemical assistance, you're still looking at years of consistent progressive overload to build the kind of mass ranveer is carrying in dhurandhar. whether he used performance-enhancing drugs or not isn't even the point here. that physique still requires years of progressive overload, consistent training, recovery protocols, and smart nutrition. people see someone not diced and think it's easy. they have no idea how much harder it is to pack on actual muscle mass than it is to just drop body fat.

Finally watched #Dhurandhar2‌TheRevenge. Loved every minute of it! What a movie @AdityaDharFilms and @yamigautam Much has been already written about the film, so all I will say is that this is the only the second time on-screen violence felt so cathartic, purifying, purgative and yes, lyrical! The first time was in Kill Bill 1, in the epic sword fight between Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu. Amazing performances by everyone, and kudos to the casting director!
