The Corporations Amendment (Digital Assets Framework) Act 2026 received Royal Assent on 8 April bringing digital asset platforms and tokenized custody platforms under AFSL licensing for the first time.
Full implementation: April 2027. The clock is ticking.

a lot has changed since the initial december @octra sale that got postponed:
- we are live in mainnet alpha, it was hardened and battletested by almost a million real-value transactions
- we now have a solid few tens of teams building something on octra in the open, in addition to some big names in both blockchain and web still to be announced
- we have real, existing onchain contracts of fully private finance primitives, in addition to early tooling released for onchain private AI
- we have full docs coverage for every aspect of the network, including the client, the transfers, the dev tools, and the encrypted state
- we built a native bridge to ethereum, and got closer than ever to releasing a full EVM spec and ethereum integration
