Whoever came up with the phrase cheap is expensive certainly never fueled at Astrol Petrol Station. 1. It is 100% Kenyan, founded in 2000 by the late Thayu Kamal Kabugi and is now run by the son, James Mwangi. 2. They not only own the land their stations are built on to cut costs but also manage their stations directly rather than franchising. 3. Their fuel contains a high 91 PON rating, which is higher than the premium fuels around, including V-Power. 4. They are not only 2 - 7 shillings cheaper but also never hoard fuel whenever there are shortages. We don’t appreciate such companies enough

Ten years ago, some guy in Nakuru (let’s call him Steve) had sex with his wife’s little sister on his matrimonial bed and the wife walked in on them. She neither caused any drama nor asked for any explanation. She simply packed her clothes as her sister and husband begged for forgiveness and walked out. On her way out, she promised Steve two things; 1. She would never tell anyone what Steve and her sister had done; and 2. She would, sooner or later, make him pay. Last year, Steve’s father (a tycoon in Limuru) passed away, leaving behind a wife and three children. They of course filed for succession but before they could get a confirmation of grant, there came an objector. It was Steve’s ex wife and her seven year old daughter. The last name indicated on the birth certificate of the girl was that of the deceased, Steve’s dad. The girl’s first name was one Steve and the ex wife had picked out for a potential daughter when they were still dating. They of course challenged paternity and called her a whore but the ex wife had receipts. Photos of girl and dad, school fees payments done by the dad, the whole shebang. In fact, she to asked the court to direct that those other children (including Steve) stop calling her a prostitute and either call her stepmom, or use her name. Now Steve had to live with the fact that his ex wife gave birth to his step sister. All this to say that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
