Ich hab überlegt, ob ich mich zu Ben und Björn Höcke äußere. Hab den Podcast die letzten zwei Abende vollständig gehört und meine Frau hat Ausschnitte davon mitgehört. 1. Ich finde die Podcasts von Ben gut und genauso, wie er linke Politiker eingeladen hat, ist es völlig in Ordnung, dass Björn Höcke dort war. So geht demokratische Meinungsbildung. 2. Sachlich war quasi fast alles, was Björn Höcke gesagt hat,aus meiner persönlichen Sicht richtig. Trotzdem bleibt bei mir ein fader Nachgeschmack. Ich fand Höcke nicht wirklich authentisch und auch wenn er sicher Erfahrung mit solchen Veranstaltungen hat, blitzte für mich ein fühlbarer Fanatismus durch. Menschlich konnte er mich nicht überzeugen. Ich hatte das erst mal wirken lassen und dann heute meine Frau nach ihrer Meinung gefragt. Sie sah das genauso. Auch bei sachlicher Zustimmung würden wir ihn nicht in verantwortungsvoller Position in der Politik sehen wollen. Und wenn das jetzt auch einigen nicht wieder passt, ist es einfach nur eine persönliche Meinung.

Bei Höcke ist die Handbremse wegen den absurden Verurteilungen sogar verständlich. Machts nur schwieriger ihn einzuschätzen

@Reptolord @betternotmyname D hat viel zuwenig Milliardäre. Wo sind die Bezos, Zuckerbergs, Brins, Musks und co die Weltfirmen gründen und D wirtschaftlich unabhängig machen bei den neuen Technologien? Solange das Klima in D so gehen solche Ausnahmegeünder geht wird es das hier auch nicht geben.

This poll clearly shows that Ethereum is not immune to Arbitrum-style interventions, if the stake is high enough. If your argument is that Ethereum is governed by the client teams so it doesn't matter what Twitter thinks -- keep in mind that ALL blockchains are social constructs. It doesn't matter how technically decentralized a chain is; the community will be able to force an arbitrary state update one way or another, either by pressuring the clients or with a DAO-style hard fork in the worst case. If you truly care about making it impossible to arbitrarily update the chain state, the only way is to make it impossible to do so without causing great collateral damage. For example, the Arbitrum intervention is easy because the hacker's funds sat in a single wallet, so it could be easily "stolen back" without affecting anyone else. So ironically, to make such interventions impossible, we should heavily invest in privacy/mixer protocols so that any future hackers can easily hide their funds, in such a way that it's impossible to "steal the money back" without rolling back history, which would be so costly for Ethereum and most chains that it probably wouldn't be done. TLDR: if you don't want a chain to be able to "hack the hacker," build protocols that help hackers (and normal people) hide funds.

I have to apologise to Midnight foundation. I have been saying they had a 80% premine, I have to correct that and say 50-80% premine. What they mean by 100% community claim is a way to scam the $ADA community into believing it is fair, in reality it is not. Pathetic!

If I were Charles' PR director, I'd have had him release a statement on his official channels detailing the technical reality and planned scope for the Cardano ↔️ Midnight bridge, including references from the available public documentation. I'd have then advised him not to engage any further with anyone in comments/replies/spaces etc. We're allowing a discussion which should be based only in fact (because we're talking about technical architecture which shouldn't be open to interpretation) to take on a life of its own because of human emotion, opinions and thoughts. It is in our power to stop this bickering. Enough is enough.
