The problem with rationing NHS treatment is very treatable conditions (joint replacements) become lifechanging, disabling, take people out of work & living, can lead to further conditions, depression, suicide, worse outcomes when finally treated.

sometimes a sick note (actually called a fit note...) is all my GP can do to help. To pause some of the stress or distraction or pressure so someone can reset, or rest, or recover. Or because real treatment is months of waiting away and the pain or suffering won't disappear.

Don’t fix the NHS. Strip the doctor. Install a job coach. ✂️ When they talk about cutting benefits, they’re talking numbers. Not people. 🤦‍♀️ We are not a line on a spreadsheet.
