@kanganalyst Watson set a bad precedent for small forwards...not all of them walk in and are immediately effective...what we learnt early was the speed of senior footy was an issue for Dova..hopefully a good preseason will get him going.

#Kangas Glad to see Dovaston do really well! He’s gonna make it hard for Banch to come back into the AFL side next week. Dovaston cops quite some hate in my opinion, and I’m really hopeful for him.

@Thomo_Grant We have to assume that he meets more of the prerequiste requirements set by the Devils board than other candidates.

Can someone explain to me what Ken Hinkley (specifically) brings to the table if the rumours are true that he is favourite to be the inaugural coach of Tasmania. I don’t get it and do not see what others are obviously seeing?

@kangamerchant We need imo 2 smalls playing seniors...unfortunately these 2 and Banch havent been able to make a case....leaves us with Spargo who should be a break glass player not a regular seniors player.

@nmfc_18 Duursma looks disinterested sadly. Konstanty and Dovaston have had their moments and have been involved in link up play.

Pretty complete 1st quarter there from Griffin. Marks both inside 50 leading and falling back to intercept. Won himself a holding the ball, and collected nicely off the ground to snap and goal. #VFL

@kangamerchant His stats arent great. He may have decided rightly or wrongly that there are players getting games in the seniors ahead of him that may not deserve it...one of the disappointing stories of the year....

@AFL Its hard enough for forwards kicking a drop punt from directly in front. Kicking and handballing were skills many mastered years back...know its structure, squeezing and pressing.

@karavas_alex You cannot put a value on what a pendlebury, stewart or zorko bring to a side. We absolutely lack the onfield leadership that players like that bring when games run against us.

North cannot shut qtr’s down. I don’t know why they can’t just kill the last 2 mins of a qtr. It’s so bad. It’s an area of concern that really needs to be addressed. These guys should be able to just kill the last 2 mins of a qtr, especially being 10 pts up. Now it’s only a 4pt lead. Just a stupid goal to give away with over a min to go until the half ends. #AFLRoosDees

@SamFaff If Dova, JK or Banch actually stood up we probably wouldn't see Spargo... Daniel and JD should have been squeezed out by now but for a number of reasons those that should havent done enough.

@kangamerchant Weve placed too much dependency on the usual suspects...it drops away quickly after that...our role players that other clubs have are still too inconsistent.

Played all but 2 quarters as a high half back after the bye last season. Averaged 5 score involvements per game (top 5 amongst general defenders) and an average player rating of 10.6 (top 10 amongst general defenders). Just give him the freedom to direct our movement off HB.

@Juryduty81 Theres individual improvement and team improvement...weve seen improvement from some and a drop off from others..from a team perspective you could argue the gap between heavy and small losses and wins and losses has improved but only marginally..we lack senior decision makers.

North has not improved this year guys. It is just teams we constantly lost to, like Gold Coast, Carlton (at the time), Port and Essendon, went down hill badly. West Coast and Richmond have remained the same, so has North.

@NMFCOfficial Looks like a record membership year....surely supporters deserve better...if we finish bottom 4 again the club needs to find leaders who can influence under duress.

@scottbrennan13 @kangamerchant Its a good point...when we go backwards or sideways we tend to get congested up fwd...its no coincidence we look our best forward when we go direct. Now we need to marry up good disposal into our fwd line with forwards presenting better options.

@nmfc_18 @kangamerchant We also need to get it in quicker, look at the marking targets we have and yet our slow play down the ground gives them no room to move as it gets crowded.

An interesting period ahead for Duursma. Back to the VFL where his starting position was the deepest forward. This is the Jack Gunston “marking forward” role that Clarko spoke of last year. Only thing is our captain Nick Larkey shows his best footy in this role.

@RileyBev @gettable_afl @AFLcomau Whats the definition of agree...considering the 2 would be currently contracted. 18 months out is a significant period to play for 1 club knowing your leaving. If players are doing this then isnt it a form of mid season trade albeit 1 sided???

@PaulineHansonOz Its not due to net zero..its due to the cost of refining in Australia becoming economically uncompetitive...no different to the automotive industry.
