Understand North Melbourne’s Josh Goater has possibly suffered a recurrence of his right quad injury at training today. Had been listed as a test to return this week having been removed mid-game from a VFL practice match a fortnight ago. @zerohanger

Mightn’t have been a bigger game in the Clarkson era, or the whole rebuild era, than this one. Haven’t beaten this team in 10 years and the pressure is hot on them. They will come out firing. Good Friday 2025 was a test - failed badly. Let’s see what North stand for this week.

Kane is actually largely right here. It’s exactly why we moved Parker out of the midfield for good after the Melbourne preseason mauling. Wardlaw back this week improves our mix. No more Simpkin or Powell in the CB.

Lots to consider at selection this week ✂️ 1. While I like what Trembath does in the ruck, I don’t like it limiting his forward time. Darling can’t do it with the new rules. Don’t want to play two rucks as Xerri should play big TOG. Can Dawson play defence/chop-out ruck?

@CalebDanielKick Great clips! All showing players working hard to get in front on lead or into space so he has options. If his teammates dont work hard then Daniel has obviously only low percentage targets to hit. But please no more kick ins…….

He chose the contact. The contact was a result of a reflex action of holding up your hands when someone is charging into you. Enjoy a great win.

That hot weather didnt do him any favours. Needs to be managed better and gradually phased out for whoever is his successor.

Xerri, Colby, Duursma, Zurhaar, Konstanty and FOS all fail to keep ball in our F50. LDU gets a smother in. Several broken tackles. Ball ends up with Hough on centre wing. As he kicks Daniel is goal side of Yeo (top of screen), in the space of 15m Yeo puts 5m into him, enough space to then snap a goal. Dismal. #AFLEaglesNorth
