As the Government of Canada’s Special Advisor for Water, I was very pleased to announce today that we are investing more than 2.3 million dollars over the next two years in 17 partner-led projects to improve freshwater management with a focus on protecting Lake Winnipeg. Projects will support reducing nutrient pollution and enhancing collaboration and partnerships, while strengthening meaningful participation of Indigenous Peoples in freshwater stewardship. Thank you to all involved in making these projects a reality!
