I am terrified about what will likely go down in the Middle East in the next few days. It does not look good. I hope I'm wrong.

President Trump says that if the Islamic Republic of Iran doesn’t reopen the Strait of Hormuz — something he previously dismissed as not a real concern for the U.S. because it barely uses the strait — he will target power plants in Iran. Such a move would disproportionately harm civilians, something the regime has made clear it cares little about.

@SpeakerJohnson on resignation of Joe Kent, Director of National Counterterrorism Center : "I don't know where Joe Kent is getting his information, but he wasn't in those briefings clearly...they had exquisite intelligence that we understood this was a serious moment for us."

A Jewish LA City Councilmember is organizing a chametz pickup before Passover. That’s what happens when people who understand a community are in the room…the city works differently. This is a small act, but it’s not performative. It’s what representation looks like in real life. @KatyForLA

Joe Kent writes that his wife was killed in a war “manufactured by Israel.” He’s referring to the Syrian civil war. The fact that such a deranged conspiracy theorist was anywhere near America’s national security apparatus should horrify every American.

🚨To every Black person tempted by the antisemitic wave sweeping right now:🚨 Back when white mobs lynched us in the streets... When we had no money, no power, and literally no movement... Who stood with us? Who risked everything? The Jews. They weren't just allies—they were family in the fight. - Jewish leaders co-founded the NAACP in 1909 and funded/led it for generations when no one else would. - When Dr. King and our people were arrested, beaten, jailed—Jewish lawyers defended us for free, and Jewish money paid bail bonds and court fees while others turned away. - In Freedom Summer '64, half the white volunteers risking death to register Black voters? Jewish. - Rabbi Heschel marched arm-in-arm with MLK in Selma—our struggles linked forever. Without their blood, treasure, solidarity, and courage—there is no Civil Rights Movement as we know it. No Voting Rights Act. No dream realized. That's why I stand with the Jews. They were our only true friends when this country hated us—when doors slammed shut and ropes hung high. They showed up, bled, and built with us. So to my people joining this demonic, divisive hate today: Pause. Remember. Honor the alliance that freed us. Our histories are bound. Our freedoms were won together. Betray that, and you betray the very martyrs who died for our rights. Black-Jewish unity forged the dream. Don't let hate destroy it. I stand with my Jewish brothers and sisters—always. ✊🏾🤝✡️🇮🇱 Repost if truth > trends. If gratitude > division. If history matters. #BlackJewishAlliance #RememberOurAllies #StandTogether #CivilRightsTruth #NoToAntisemitism

HOLY CRAP!! 🤯🤯 This is from when Erika Kirk joined Megyn Kelly on her tour after Charlie passed away. “Since she lost Charlie, that’s when she and I became friends. I had met Erika prior to Charlie’s death, but we didn’t know each other. Since then, I have had this incredible urge. It’s a strange urge because I have this huge urge to take care of her—to make sure nothing happens to her, not from the media, not from the terrible leftists who are hating, and certainly not from anybody who actually wishes to do her or her children, God forbid, any harm. But I also have, at the same time, this wish to be near her so she can heal me. Do you know what I mean?” Megyn Kelly is the very definition of a fraud and a coward. 🎥: @Erin_Molan

It’s also interesting how everyone making the “ignoring it is better” argument fails to apply that standard consistently. There are plenty of things they find evil and harmful that they don’t ignore. Some of them make a living not ignoring things bad things, and they never consider it counter-productive amplification.

I interviewed two Israeli Air Force pilots who are part of the operation in Iran. When I asked what it felt like to enter Iranian airspace for the first time, one of them said: “You find yourself thinking, what do these people, so far away from us, actually want from us? They have a huge and beautiful country. Right now full of snow and lakes. Truly a very, very beautiful place. What do they want from us, this small piece of land? It’s such a strange feeling.”

@__Injaneb96 @shaunmmaguire Idk, in this case your post more likely describes us, not Iran. Even if we didn't do it, it would be appropriate to say "we don't know if this was us. We're investigating. If it was us, it would've been a grave error, not intentional, and we're very sorry for that..."

Another point non-Iranians are missing: this isn’t new or surprising to us. The regime has done things like this before. In 2020, after the killing of Qasem Soleimani, when the Islamic Republic was loudly promising “revenge,” they shot down Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752 just minutes after it took off from Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran. They fired two missiles at a passenger plane. Twice. Ever since then, every time I sit on a plane during takeoff, I panic. I remember those moments. I remember the people we knew who died. Two of them had just gotten married and were still posting their wedding stories on Instagram, Arash and Pouneh. Their lives ended in seconds. 176 passengers and crew were killed. Many were Iranian students returning to Canada after visiting their families, our classmates, our teachers, our friends. And then the regime denied it for three days. They said it was a “technical failure.” They repeated that story nonstop in the media. Then videos came out showing the missiles hitting the plane. Only after three days of absolute denial did they admit it, and they called it “human error.” They even claimed the operator who fired the missiles thought the passenger plane was a “fighter jet.” For three days the narrative was “technical issues.” And when the truth became impossible to hide, the same outlets started praising the authorities for “taking responsibility,” trying to whitewash what happened. We’ve seen this pattern before. We’re used to this crap.

The evidence is clear, this is not a Tomahawk Iran alleged that an American Tomahawk Cruise Missile hit a school (buried in an IRGC compound) in southern Iran, killing 165 people. Analysis of a newly released video tells a different story. ANALYSIS: A-I analysis confirms the wings of the munition in question sit about 40%-45% down the body of the munition. On a Tomahawk, the wings sit roughly 49%-50% down the body of the munition. The wing to body ratio of the munition in question matches an Iranian Kh-55–derived Land Attack Cruise Missile. Further, the video shows the munition in a steep dive angle for the final attack phase. This places the attack angle at approximately 70%, which is the max attack angle for a Tomahawk. The attack angle does not match the KH-55. That angle maxes out at about 55 degrees. So what would have caused this? CONCLUSION: The wing positioning alone makes the munition impossible to be a Tomahawk. The attack angle is at the max of the Tomahawk's capabilities. The typical attack angle for a Tomahawk is much lower than 70 degrees. The typical angle is between 20-45 degrees. This is due to the flight pattern of Tomahawks. They fly very low horizontally to the ground, often only 50-100 meters AGL to avoid detection and interception. In order to achieve that attack angle, the missile would have had to gain altitude several kilometers away, this would leave it vulnerable for interception. This is highly unlikely on the first day of US attacks. So what could have caused this? Simply put, GPS jamming of an Iranian KH-55. The USA and Israel were, and continue to actively jam the Iranian airspace. If the KH-55's signal was jammed, this could result in an uncontrollable dive. Think of GPS jamming more like disorienting the missile. On 03/07 President Trump stated: “No, in my opinion, based on what I’ve seen, that was done by Iran.” Today, I concur with the President.

About a year and a half ago, I made an $18 donation to @StJude, and every month since, they have sent me new solicitations that included notepads, labels, or both. By now I imagine that, between the postage and the contents, they have spent way more than what they have received. Is this a good fundraising model? At times I feel compelled to make another donation just to make up for this obvious loss, but at this time my charity is going to other places. Yet these gifts simply will not stop. (oh, and I don't use them, especially the ones with the Santa imagery, IYKYK, hint the $18 donation.)
