@AliceTalksFooty If United get Scott, the rest of the budget would only allow for a signing like Sangaré I think. Also, if João Gomes goes to Liverpool, it makes Sangaré more likely. Baleba looks really unlikely now because his price will be inflated and Sangaré is more versatile than him

If we're talking about tier 2, one of the factors that will define that bracket is price. I don't think, from #mufc's perspective anyway, a tier 2 goes over 60m. Alex Scott for example, ability and experience wise would be considered tier 2 but his price goes over that

So #mufc started off with the idea of going for a tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 midfielder. As the window has dragged on, it's becoming clearer that the tier 1 is off the table. Therefore, I think they're going for three tier 2 midfielders. Andrey Santos and Manu Kone would fit that

João Gomes is a dead cert for me. He's a PL proven player with unbelievable stats and will cost something similar to Ederson. He's also the profile of player that would complement Santos and Mainoo well. A ball carrier like Mainoo but a much more proficient ball winner #mufc

The thing with Santos, Scott and João Gomes, you have all three with PL experience and would likely fit the reported 150m midfield budget, or thereabouts. I like Manu Kone but after seeing his injury record 🤔. Scott would be preferable over him mainly for that reason #mufc
