the instinct to correct people is mostly status seeking disguised as truth seeking. i never do this garbage. if someone says something wrong i just get curious about why they think that which is usually more interesting than the fact itself anyway. also let’s not forget the ppl who are constantly trying to “correct” others are annoying af esp the pedantics or the precisionists.
