"Southern Europeans dominated ancient history" is a fairly recent view amongst RC/EO given that up until Greek Independence, the Byzantine Greeks condemned their ancient inheritance as heresy and instead promoted Orthodox theology/philosophy as their sole gift to the world.

I cannot imagine having this much of a chip on my shoulder, just a miserable way to live Southern Europeans dominated ancient history, Northern Europeans dominated ever since until very recently We are now all being raped and have a common cause, stop acting brown

"Might makes right" is actually a good morality and Europeans would live much better lives if they had just stayed with it and rejected Christianity.

@FacelessFatGuy @kojimaicmatters I watched it, and at the time it made me angry but I think I may go back and try again. I know it left so many plot holes hanging, but even in the first season I was telling my family "they're in purgatory". Then like a decade later I was vindicated.

@williameijer Disagree. I would say this is a christian ethos. Mothers are absolutely capable of discerning a child crying dishonestly (historically) - perhaps more so than the historically uninvolved fathers. It is a christian desire to assume honesty in the tears of the „powerless.“

The female ethos can be summarized as “the crying infant is always right.” The problem with extending this framework to politics is that the crying adult isn’t

@Weeezin If you're going to adapt an ancient work to a new format you might want to not strip it of everything that would make it interesting, such as the ancient morality. Also, there's nothing amoral about executing traitorous slaves. There's even the Parable of the Bags of Gold in NT.

European airspace has veen violated by Turkey a million times since the 80s. Still you call them an important ally. We don't care what the Russians do. Fight them yourselves.
Ursula von der Leyen@vonderleyen

European airspace has once again been violated by a drone incursion. I commend the Romanian military for their swift and effective response, safeguarding our shared security. Strengthening defence and deterrence along our Eastern border remains a top priority.

@mattyglesias At some point support for slavery was also extremely popular, does that make it moral in your eyes?

"Women should be allowed to get abortions" is not like some marginal left-wing view, this is just what most people think.
