@exisbread Yep! I'm a mod/manager for another vtuber, and that vtuber has a no self promo rule. We've had ppl only talk in discord to post art, but art of their vtuber for "members". But they tried to argue that bc they didnt list a platform, its not self promo. 1/2

it is about the principle IMO- i'm not worried about them stealing my audience, it's just rude as fuck and shows you why they are in your community to begin with, especially the ones who immediately leave after being told they can't self-promote. i'm also picky about who i want promoted to my community as there have been some people who have tried to promote themselves who don't share my same values, think racism is funny, etc. so i don't allow it even indirectly. it is funny how some people get very upset about not being able to do it though (self-report). i had one girl who was posting her merch and ko-fi and had the nerve to say i was 'gatekeeping my community' when she was told to stop 💀
