Fishing and regular dumping or feeding in the area had reportedly stopped for about a week+, leaving sharks that may have become conditioned to boat arrivals and food scraps suddenly without that source.
This may explain why the boat’s arrival triggered a feeding response, and when guests entered the water, the sharks rushed in expecting food.
