Ethereum isn't unified enough amid L2 expansion, says @VitalikButerin in this article by @decryptmedia: decrypt.co/231612/ethereu… Sounds familiar? A unification layer is exactly our goal as we build out Avail Nexus, on top of Avail DA. With Nexus acting as the unifying layer, assets on one Eth L2 should be enough to interact with any other Eth L2. We don’t need bridges to interact across L2s. Once you have funds on say, Optimism, you should be able to buy NFTs on zkSync, participate in DeFi on Arbitrum, or use a prediction market on Polygon zkEVM. Nexus combined with account abstraction gets us to a world where users could be unaware of which L2 they hold funds in, or what chain their asset lives on - because it’s all unified, they all work together. This is just one example of how an experience can be simplified with Avail Nexus. There will be more to come!
