From 2018-23, @BRHSPanthers won 20 total games. The Panthers just capped the 2025-26 season with 23, last of which resulted in the program's first state title.

My 15 takeaways takeaways from the Olympics:
1. Quinn Hughes and Cale Makar are officially the 1A/1B defenseman. I’ll probably still give Makar a slight edge, but now it’s up for debate.
2. Zach Werenski is the clear #3 defenseman in the NHL now. Sorry Adam Fox, Rasmus Dahlin, Miro Heiskanen, he’s arguably been tops in the league the last two seasons ahead of Cale and Quinn.
3. Connor Hellebuyck had the choker allegations put to sleep. This outweighed all of that easily, he is a riser when it matters now in my book. Guy shouldn’t have to spend money on a drink again.
4. Dylan Larkin might be the most under appreciated player in the entire league. Consistent 70 point two way player who shows up when it matters. Great leader too.
5. Juraj Slafkovsky at his peak can have a Matthew Tkachuk-like ceiling. The kid is already a great player, should be an 80 point power forward for years to come.
6. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t think Lane Hutson would have been that big of an upgrade for the USA. Faber was very good, Slavin and Sanderson were great.
7. Speaking of which, good on JT and Trocheck for being deployed correctly on the PK. Don’t know how the units would have been deployed if Caufield or Robertson made it. Bill Guerin you genius!
8. Martin Necas is NOT a MacKinnon merchant, the dude is very talented. 40-40 type player.
9. Goaltending matters more than we think come playoff time, no way the US would have came close to winning with Swayman or Otter in net.
10. Jake Guentzel has a really interesting Hall of Fame case. One cup (was amazing as a rookie in that run), one gold medal, consistent 40 goal scorer. If he wins a cup with Tampa and ages will to get 450 goals and 1100 points, is he in?
11. It doesn’t matter how many NHL players are on the roster, coaching decisions can still cost games to an extent. What was the Sweden coach thinking for scratching Forsberg and Bratt?
12. Finland probably beats Canada with a healthy Barkov. So many things went against them in that game, can’t imagine they blow a 2-0 lead with him at C.
13. Screw the all star game, do some sort of best on best tournament every damn year. Maybe implement something for the younger players, like a rising stars game, anything but that terrible product…
14. Russia should have 100% been able to compete in this tournament, shameful that they couldn’t, would have been medal contenders
15. USA >>>> every country in the world (and classiest) 😏
Thoughts?
