😭With over 4000 sobs received in the last month, I thought it'd be helpful if I posted some tips for getting more sob reacts in chats 😭 1. Always self-react By self-reacting, you kick off the party. Most people in crypto are lazy and don't want to manually sob react, even if they find a joke funny. However, If they see the 😭 already under the message, they will likely be more inclined to sob reacting yours. In the 1950s, Solomon Asch conformity experiments showed that people often agree with a group’s answer even when they know it’s wrong, simply because others did. Similarly, jokes of yours that aren't actually funny might be perceived better if people see a sob react under it (they don't know it's yours though, until it's too late). Note: personally, I don't care for the stigma surrounding self-reacting. If you do though, you can just unreact to your message as soon as someone else takes the bait. 2. HVSH HVSH (High volume sob hours) are when chats are most active and you have the highest likelihood of getting sobs. Save your best jokes for these times (I like to keep mine in my notes app). Important thing about HVSH: snowball effect. A quality joke can easily run up to ATH sobs if played correctly (look back at the conformity experiments for context). I like to split my jokes up into multiple messages (in a row, uninterrupted -- this is important). By doing this, instead of getting 5 sobs on 1 message, you can instead get 15 across 3. Make sure you're still self-reacting in HVSH, especially for worse jokes. It's easy to get caught up in the volume, but you need to stay focused. 3. Form alliances Small one, but recently I've been reaching out to fellow members of group chats and asking for "sob alliances." Pretty much, we just agree to always sob react at each others jokes, no matter the quality Numbers game: the more alliances you form, the better. Follow for more tips.
