Scalpers, I’m going to break down the 4th wall for a moment and ask for patience and to believe in the plan. Let’s start by assuring you that we’ve personally met a ton of people in this corner - at Farmageddon, at Indipoc, at Texageddon and other individual events along the way. We love those events and are using them as models. We also held a rehearsal powwow in Arizona in early April to test the process.  All of these events take massive planning and coordination. The Scalpers Powwow is likely to be the largest yet and will be epic. It’s also going to require that many factors come together seamlessly to ensure success.  All of the precursor steps will also have to be done with precision and care. Rest assured, there are a lot of people who believe in this thing we’re building; a lot who are working to build a crew who can make the entire experience successful and repeatable.  Sage (@srsattern) is working his ass off.  He would genuinely love to have an event tomorrow where everyone is involved, having fun, getting training, receiving needed kit and enjoying a new level of camaraderie. However, he’s also working the right way. Getting things set up and putting in unbelievable planning hours. He, along with much larger team(s) than you can imagine, are planning and making lists, troubleshooting, game planning and strategizing daily. We’re gathering medical kit and setting up comms plans and mapping out training areas. We’re meal planning and sleep planning and liability planning and emergency planning. Satellite powwows for those who cannot travel to Arizona next year are being planned to include local and national top-notch training and supply efforts. This is a massive effort because it may actually require more planning being decentralized. If you’ve got a spot to host, we’ll be in touch. Also, if you want a patch, we’re working on getting the patches in hand, distributing them to teams and getting them to you with the care everyone else has received. For the patches, along with everything else, Sage is using his own funds and the subscription fees that have really just started coming in from X to fund operations. Many of us behind the scenes are gathering kit from auctions and deals and wholesale pricing connections to put the vision into motion. No, we’re not asking for money. Many have offered and we appreciate that. Help your fellow Scalpers improve in whichever manner works for you. That’s how we win. If you’re impatient, that’s ok, but don’t be negative.  None of the behind-the-scenes volunteers are paid a dime, so we’re working harder and smarter as a tribe.  Rest assured, we see the vision and we believe in it. We see the work being done and we know it will work and be great. Stand strong, train and pay it forward.
