I have so many things to say on this topic, but I'll just highlight this and let y'all know that my summer stock is still looking for a props artisan lol if you want to find a small pocket of sanity with a decent manager (me)

the key to longevity in institutional theatre is recognizing that every theatre is wildly dysfunctional in its own way and it's a matter of finding a situation where you can carve out a small pocket of sanity with a decent manager to insulate yourself from the chaos
