The difficult part was exception handling and resolving disagreements that code alone could not settle. Right now, everyone is building the happy path for agent commerce: payments, identity, and interoperability. Those layers are advancing quickly. Far fewer people are building for the moments when things go wrong. That is what makes GenLayer interesting to me.
