Poorest breeding season on record for Kestrels and owls in #Wiltshire🦉🪶 Most Barn Owls haven’t laid eggs yet due to food shortage. Many adults are in moult so unlikely to breed this year. Kestrels that have bred are feeding young with birds, and broods are smaller than average

Kestrel box in the Wensum Valley has produced five young birds. Here is two of them waiting patiently for mum to bring dinner 😎

Always good to go out and about with my son John. He always takes me to interesting places We had Honey buzzards in West Sussex and Orchids in Surrey. And so many laughs as well. He’s a terrific young man and a wonderful Son
