From someone I had a huge crush on nearly 40 years ago and had my first kiss with 🥰, to someone more like a brother who taught me (the hard way) what "pull my finger" meant... 😂 Fred, you've been many things to me, and I'm grateful we got to go on the Wonder Years ride and grow up together! . . Charlie Foster to Ole Miss is interesting to say the least. Their pitching coach could do great things for him.

The umpires found the Branch parents to give them the official lineup cards with their boys, Kolby (UGA) and Kyle (Oklahoma), on them. They are the first brothers to be starters/opponents in a MCWS game, and this was the final time the two faced off in college. 🥹

This was my favorite quote from Jacob Parker in the final postgame press conference of the season: “I’ve already won in life, I have Jesus Christ in my life… I think that’s what’s special, that’s what this program is about.” Regardless of the wins and losses, this is the most important thing I enjoy seeing from our players. You can say what you want, but when the accolades, trophies, and wins fade; who are you? Your identity in Jesus Christ is the only thing that matters. Proud of the foundation being built.

A lot of highs and lows for #MississippiState this season. All of those emotions came out on the field after Sunday's game against Georgia.

Can’t say they will win it all but GA is the best team. That lineup may go cold next game but I doubt it.

I will hear no BOC slander. We got the ONLY draw that would have kept us from Omaha. One team playing better than us right now, and we just happened to play them in the supers. Don’t place your frustration in the wrong place.

The minimum expectation was met w this roster but I will give some grace to losing your Fri. night starter. That really changed things for the entire season. #HailState

I’ve said it all my life. Go 15-15 in SEC play and get the right draw and you have a shot to win it all. The 8 best teams don’t end up in Omaha but that’s why it’s fun. But 13-12 today was not fun. #HailState

@davidzedelstein State fan here but that Texas team can absolutely beat GA. “IF” State can figure out GA then it’s gonna be a train running downhill for sure w the lineup State has. But that’s yet to be done being 0-4 vs GA, although a few games were close.
