Hey @Sparxhockey, deactivating your sharpener until the firmware is upgraded is absolutely ridiculous. Firmware upgrades happen on user timelines, not yours, and bricking the device is not the answer.

@markgurman I just got back from vacation and using Clean Up in Photos in iOS 18.3 to remove people or annoying objects is awesome. Works extremely well. I used it every day on my trip and will continue to use it.

Essentially every reply so far agrees: Apple Intelligence is a half baked marketing strategy that was rushed in response to OpenAI and Google Gemini. Yes, Apple had no choice. They did exactly the right thing. But they shouldn’t have been in that position in the first place.

Does anyone use Apple Intelligence as much as Tim Cook does? Other than the notification summaries, the auto sorting in Mail and the occasional attempt at a Genmoji, I don’t use it.
