Watching "Villages by the Sea" about Buckler's Hard on BBC 2, great show... but they did a section about the Mulberry Harbour construction on the Beaulieu River, and show a photo to illustrate it - of the Admiralty Floating Dock - which was not part of the Mulberry Harbour. 😤

On this day in 1944, SOE agent Noor Inayat Khan was murdered in Dachau concentration camp. She'd been trained in Beaulieu, New Forest, before being dropped into France. She was captured by the Nazis the previous year whilst working as a radio operator in Paris.
