@northicex2 @naMnaSYt Not even that. How do we generate power? With steam. They could just use traditional turbines and regular firebending.

bending evolving is cool but this is a form that makes no sense to become so common lightningbending requires separating positive and negative energy, and at the moment they crash back together you guide it Iroh himself said only a select few could this

@riancambuim @shadowofatanuki @naMnaSYt That was on of many mistakes that doesn't jive with established realities in the Last Airbender. Chi is universal and all nations use it, none above the other so I am not sure where you even get that argument.

@northicex2 @shadowofatanuki @naMnaSYt Chi is more about airbenders in other nations, chi is haven't importance, so it's a weak argument. And about having to be a specialist to be able to make lightning, it simply took about 70 years to master that. In ATLA Just toph nós metal vender, now a thousands knows

That power makes handling it incredibly dangerous. Deadlifting 600lbs is still both difficult and dangerous regardless of how advanced ones physical training, or how much technology one uses to train. Advancement to using lightning for electricity is not the issue, it is that in order to get that many firebenders to do what a prodigy can you would have to make an average bender a specialist. In the context of the Avatar universe where Chi and other spiritual and emotional factors influence bending it follows that these specialists would use facilities reflective of that reality rather than a homage to ours.

@shadowofatanuki @northicex2 @naMnaSYt It's kind of silly. Lightning is one of the most powerful energy sources in nature, more so than other forms of energy production. The fact that it's used is due to the unfortunate evolution of humanity, which led us to capitalism that forces benders to work as miners.

Fact check. FALSE. Human beings have higher reasoning and do not engage in unnecessary cruelty unless there is a developing, underlying, severe psychiatric condition. While it is not necessarily a one hundred percent predictor of future anti social behavior it is a well recognized clinical red flag. It is not normal for kids to want to hurt animals and if they are they need a psychiatric evaluation immediately. digscholarship.unco.edu/cgi/viewconten…

@northicex2 @literaturedevil For this particular person sure. But kids desires to abuse small animals is born from the same place that makes you dog viciously ragdoll a toy. So the statement that any kid who has this desire is gonna be a Serial killer is wildly incorrect.

Abusing small animals is an early sign you have a psycho on your hands. Something Azula definitely is. Which is why even Iroh tells Zuko her case is hopeless.

@sphenlet @literaturedevil There is a vast difference between predator drive instincts born of hunger and hurting something helpless for pleasure. If she was starving, and dispatched the animal quickly, no one would blame her, we both know that isn't the case here.

@literaturedevil This is a case of correlation over causation. Wanting to chase and hunt small animals is an instinct burned into every mammal predator. It's thesame instinct that makes your dog play fetch. Is your dog a serial killer cause he has instincts to hunt?

The assassination attempts were primarily fielded by disgruntled Ozai loyalists that absolutely infested most government positions. While Zuko did train up a very competent Governing body at this particular time they are still studying. Thus he has to undertake much more of the day to day governance personally since he had to fire or imprison much of the original bureaucracy.

@ghenniss like why was he left to do all that on his own? iroh did help from time to time, & even stepped in as fire lord temporarily but overall zuko was kind of just thrown in the deep end. he was like 16-17 years old in his first year ruling with 5 assassination attempts on his life

That image was taken in China during a period they call "travel rush" a month when large amounts of migrant workers return home all at the same time for the holidays. It was capitalism that provides her the work she needs to feed her baby abroad, when her own quasi communist (we can argue state capitalism these days) homeland had no such opportunities. A better question, why is some tool taking a picture of her instead of helping?

Much of what makes communism so evil is that, unlike every other ideology, it exists purely to suffocate talent and excellence The point of communism is to destroy the capable for the benefit of the incapabale, to destroy the excellent for the benefit of equality Other regimes and ideologies inflict horrors of every sort. But they at least aim for whatever it is they see as being the higher good and human flourishing. Communism (along with its variations, such as race communism) is different in that it intentionally and deviously does the opposite, and so destroys not just life but the human spirit itself in the process
John Birch Society@The_JBS

Communism was described by Robert Welch as “the most viciously merciless tyranny ever devised.” He was right.

Another day, another claim that doesn’t match the record. Thomas Massie voted against the SAVE Act—legislation focused on strengthening safeguards in our elections. He was the only Republican to vote no. Kentucky deserves leadership that stands firm on protecting the integrity of our elections and representing the values of our communities. It’s time for accountability. It’s time for a change! Vote May 19!

They did that and so very very much more. The War of the Beast saw the orks hit a maximum of intelligence and capabilities. They built Moons able to move entire fleets, harnessed gravity as a weapon in ways the Imperium has never seen before or since. An envoy of theirs that arrived on Terra from such a moon brought terms in fluent High Gothic. The Imperium was very screwed but for a last minute hail Mary charge into the Beasts headquarters. wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/War_of_th…

In 2023, eight-year-old Brielle Walker wandered into the backyard of her family’s home in Alpena Township, Michigan, searching for mushrooms. Meanwhile, her 13-year-old brother Owen was indoors, focused on his video games. Suddenly, a piercing scream cut through the quiet. Owen rushed to the window and spotted a stranger grabbing his little sister from behind, trying to cover her mouth. Without hesitation, he snatched his slingshot from his bed. He quickly loaded a marble, took aim through the window, and fired — landing a direct hit to the attacker’s head. He reloaded with a piece of gravel and shot again, striking the man in the chest. Startled and in pain, the assailant let go of Brielle and ran off into the woods. Michigan State Police eventually arrested the suspect, partly thanks to the obvious injuries left by Owen’s precise shots. Those marks helped officers identify and build a strong case against him. When reporters later asked Owen how he managed to hit a moving target in such a high-pressure moment, he paused for a second before replying with a grin: “The guy was just a big target. Not like shooting at a Pepsi can.”

You poor, deluded, pseudo intellectual, virtue signaling, sack of soft soggy potatoes. I'm going to spell this out for you for the sake of your daughter and I pray to God nothing like this happens to her because her dad isn't going to help if it does. If a man assaults a girl, serves time, gets out, and the first thing he wants to do seeing that girls Mom is to look her dead in the eyes and ask "how is she doing", he is going to go for her again. He has no shame, her Mom read that for the immediate threat that it was and took the trash out before he could get another chance. The injustice was that he got out early and that the state let him within 100 miles of her.

Her neighbor r*ped her 13-year-old daughter at knifepoint. He served seven years, then walked free on parole. The day María del Carmen García ran into him near her home, he looked her in the eye and asked how her daughter was doing. She went and bought gasoline. She found him in a bar. She poured it over him and lit a match. Antonio Cosme d*ed in the hospital with burns over 90% of his body. María del Carmen García was arrested the same day. What would you have done in her place?

The men that answer such questions online often times have never touched a woman and have fallen afoul of fanciful imaginary thinking in lue of reality. In the minds of those men anything that gets them closer to the real thing is a good thing, regardless of social guardrails or common sense. "The Scarlett Letter" and other bits of "required reading" suggests a morality to forgiving sexual impropriaty that does not really exist, quite the opposite as a matter of fact. Just as most crazy people cannot recognize their own insanity the ability to pair bond may not be a fully tangible sensation but this choice of career leaves it completely damaged. God used a woman like this, Gomer, to illustrate and symbolize to the prophet Hosea the painful relationship he endured with Isreal. Gomer could have suprised even the Almighty with a sudden turn of virtue, but she didn't, for she couldn't, she was of whoredom. The breakage for her occurred long before God told Hosea to marry her. Women like Empress Theodora are exceptionally rare but they do exist. They do not seek out whoredom willingly, infact the moment Theodora took power alongside Justinian she moved to ban forced prostitution and set up convents for former sex workers. These days, escorts companies and Only fans pay for access sites tempt women with easy wealth. It will only cost everything they could have been. Even on X pay for access schemes are running, the women and men with Ai know the right keys to jingle for easy cash. It just takes a moment of weakness, a moment where she tells herself it will be alright when another part is screaming to turn away. It will only cost her everything, and leave her holding a pile a stinking sticky bills instead of her own children.
