What a great Emergency Preparedness Week it has been! We’ve had the chance to connect with residents across the North Shore and talk about emergency preparedness. One topic that sparked a lot of interest was evacuations, and how to prepare before you ever need to leave your home. A few simple steps can make a big difference: ☑️Make and review your emergency plan ☑️Create an Emergency Support Services profile ☑️Sign up for Alertable ☑️Prepare grab-and-go bags ☑️Stay informed with trusted information sources ☑️Know your evacuation zone To learn more about each step and to download the Be Ready to Evacuate brochure, visit nsem.ca/during-emergen…

It’s Emergency Preparedness Week, and this year’s theme is simple: we’re in it together. With warmer temperatures on the North Shore, now is a great time to check in on your neighbours, especially seniors, those living alone, or anyone who may need extra support during warmer weather. While you’re at it, take a minute to get to know each other a bit better: ▪️Would they need help during an evacuation? ▪️Do they have pets that might need support? ▪️Would they need a ride if they had to leave quickly? Emergencies can happen at any time, but knowing your neighbours means you won’t face them alone. A quick check-in today can make a big difference tomorrow. For more information, visit nsem.ca.

As of today, Stage 2 water restrictions are in effect, which means all residential and non-residential lawn watering is banned. With warm and dry weather in the forecast, we need to use water where it is needed most — drinking, cooking, and cleaning. metrovancouver.org/lawns
