@Blue_Footy Sometimes I wonder how most people's brain function, how do y'all get through day to day life with such a brain that can't understand something as easy as what he just explained in kindergarten form. If Enzo won't accept £200k then he better find a club willing to pay us £120m.

Everyone shouts we want to have a strong culture at the club but it feels like we don't understand what it means. It means respecting the values and principles of the club. If the manager says, training starts 8am, you are there before 8. If the club says don't do this is, you respect it. If the wage structure has a cap, you respect it. The whole idea is to make everyone feel united and important. It's not when you know it signed for the club, and become a better player, you will start forcing the club to make changes to those principles and values to suit you as a person not as a squad. Alex Ferguson sold a lot of his stars who felt they became bigger than the club's culture but he still remained at the top. A player doesn't win you games or titles without his teammates. What you have as a team is greater than what any player in the world has to offer. For me, that's what culture simple means, everyone moving in the same direction, with the same purpose and belief. Roman's Chelsea had Real Madrid, Barcelona, City, Milan clubs all over our top players, some had unbelievably bigger offers, like City's offer to John Terry. Yet, they all remained because they believed in each other and the club. Players play for money but that's not everything. The culture of the club can't be trampled upon. It's what holds the club together. It's what keeps the players united to perform as one and fight for each other and the badge. I get that Chelsea capped their wages and offer incentives for UCL. I think it's smart because there is always the danger of missing UCL. There is FFP and PSR out there to obey. And the club's revenue isn't as solid as our rivals — even Spurs earn more. Small stadium and lack of UCL are massive issues. It's not about giving everyone what they deserve but can the club actually afford that. I believe Chelsea will soon get to paying £300k wages again, but first, we need to stabilise, play UCL consistently and improve the annual revenues. For players who can't afford to wait and take us there because they want to earn more, they are free to leave. Some people say "but we have spent £2b, and can't afford wages". The first few windows under BlueCo was where the money was spend, the latest ones were more about balancing the book. Selling to raise money, and use it on replacements. That's why the club are into buying players to improve and sell for profit. It's our way of generating revenue and funding incoming transfers. Some top clubs don't need that but we need it to level up. Roman didn't run Chelsea by profit and loss book, we have to understand and always remember that. This club is a bit handicapped in terms of total annual revenue due to the size of Stamford Bridge. It's a lot of money when you compare that with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United. If we have that extra £40m-£50m, we can afford to put some players on 300k a week. A 300k a week player is basically earning £15.6m per year. Just one player and it's not amortised fee, all of it is straight into the annual record. If you have 3 of such players, it's close to £50m. £250k a week is £13m annually. It's insane.

These are the people that wants to dictate to us who is good and who is not. You think wins against Palmeras and Heidemhein was the reason we won the trophies? The final carries the biggest weight with the toughest opponents. There are reasons he didn't play some of the matches but played the finals.
NORTHERN SCUM🐊@Unserious_Exrha

These are the people we argue with lmao😂 ✅Palmer had only 1 Assist and no goal before the final against Betis in the UECL ✅Palmer had only 1 goal before the final vs PSG in the CWC. It was a fvxkin tournament jiggy, it didnt start from a final.

You were crying for more players but still left an entire full back on the bench to use CBs as Fullback just to draw an easy match. You wanted more players but went ahead to leave an entire CB on the bench to use Hato and Tosin as CB just to lose a match we should have won. Sabotaged our season just to make a statement then walked away at an odd hour. But we should be praying to him as our god. Na God go punish una.

Funny how they always bring Maresca up whenever we lose a game, like he was some kind of messiah. Apart from the Conference League and Club World Cup he won, he was @$$ in the league too. Two seasons in a row, we started as contenders and still collapsed in December both times. He was a complete @$$

It's march 2026 and you are still crying about Maresca at 6AM. If Pochettino actually qualified for the UCL or Man U didnt win that FA Cup as we all wanted, and also FIFA didn't come up with that CWC idea, Maresca would have no trophies at all. It took him the final 6 games to make top 4. But let's leave “if”, in his first normal Chelsea season, man was already out of the top 6 in the league and on the verge of UCL group stage exit with one win in 9 games. But go ahead and build him a statue.

I understand calling Courtois a snake cuz Chelsea did everything possible for him to stay but he refused. But his case isn't far different from that of Hazard; the club was ready to make him the PL highest earner as of them but he refused. But the people I don't understand calling them snakes are Madueke, Mount, Havertz, and Gallagher. The club wanted them out, the fans wanted them out but because they didn't join Wigan Athletic or Ipswitch in your honor, they became snakes. When you send someone away, you have no right to detect where he goes.

There is a league in the world where Nine Clubs Started The Season Already In with Negative points. Here Is Why. Before you read, I should tell you what they did wrong. They did something I consider a crime against every fan that rode through the emotional effects of their actions. Let me tell you about a football league that kicked off its 2026 season this week with nine of its sixteen clubs starting on minus points, and let me also tell you how an entire football ecosystem gets to a place where that is even possible, because this story is wilder than anything you will find in fiction. The Chinese Super League, one of the most watched football leagues on the planet by attendance figures, is currently dealing with the consequences of what authorities are calling a "fake, gambling, and black" trilogy, which is their way of describing a coordinated system of match-fixing, illegal betting, and bribery that ran so deep it swallowed up players, coaches, officials, and the very man who was supposed to be protecting the integrity of the game. Chen Xuyuan was the President of the Chinese Football Association, which means he was essentially the most powerful man in Chinese football, the person whose entire job was to make sure the game was clean and trustworthy and worth watching, and he was convicted in 2024 of accepting bribes totalling as much as eleven million dollars and sentenced to life in prison. That tells you everything about how seriously the Chinese authorities took this and also everything about how long this had been going on before anyone stopped it. Then there is Li Tie, who many football fans in England will remember as a midfielder who played for Everton in the Premier League in the early 2000s, and who went on to manage the Chinese national team from 2019 to 2021, a position of enormous trust and responsibility, and he was convicted of accepting millions in bribes and handed a twenty year prison sentence. He was a man who was supposed to be building the future of Chinese football. The investigation itself, which was carried out by the Ministry of Public Security and the CFA over two years, found that at least 120 domestic matches had been fixed, that 41 clubs across multiple divisions were implicated, and that 128 individuals were arrested or placed under investigation. That is not a scandal. That is a structural collapse. Now let us talk about the clubs, because this is where it gets really interesting from a sporting perspective, and also where the legal consequences become very visible in a way that fans will feel immediately. Shanghai Shenhua and Tianjin Jinmen Tiger received ten point deductions each along with fines of one million yuan, Qingdao Hainiu were docked seven points, Henan FC and Shandong Taishan six points each, and Shanghai Port, Zhejiang FC, Beijing Guoan and Wuhan Three Towns five points each, which means that nine of the sixteen clubs in the league started the 2026 season, which began literally this week on the sixth of March, already in a hole they did not dig on the pitch. Shanghai Port are the reigning champions of the CSL and they began their title defence on minus five points, which is genuinely one of the most remarkable sentences I have ever written about football. In total, 73 people were banned from all football activities for life and the CFA stated that the sanctions were intended to "uphold industry discipline, purify the football environment, and maintain fair competition," which is a very formal way of saying that they let things go so badly wrong that they now have to burn a significant part of the house down to save the rest of it. The rules that were broken here fall under the CFA's own football integrity regulations covering match manipulation, illegal gambling, and bribery, but crucially, gambling on football is also illegal under Chinese criminal law, which is why so many of these individuals are not just banned from football but are sitting in prison cells while the 2026 season gets underway without them. What this whole saga really tells you is that integrity in football is not just a moral question, it is a structural one, and when the people at the very top of the structure are the ones breaking the rules, the entire thing becomes a fiction, and the matches that fans are watching and caring about and travelling to stadiums to witness are not actually real in the way they believe them to be. That is the real crime here, not just against the law, but against every fan who ever believed in what they were watching. My name is Ajoje. Let me explain what just happened with Harry Maguire in Greece, because a lot of people are reading "convicted" and assuming he is going to jail. He is not, and here is why. A suspended sentence means that a court has found you guilty and assigned you a prison term, but agreed not to enforce it immediately, on the condition that you stay out of trouble for a defined period. If you do stay out of trouble, you never go to jail. However, if you reoffend or breach the conditions, the original sentence gets activated, and you go to prison. The Maguire's retrial that was held today, 4 March 2026 upheld his conviction on non-serious assault, resisting arrest, and attempted bribery, but reduced his sentence from 21 months to 15 months, suspended. As a misdemeanor-level, first-time conviction, no immediate jail time will be applying to him. He plans to appeal though. Based on this, his career continues, and nothing changes on the pitch unless he breaches probation. Do you understand? My name is Ajoje and I am an Interational Sports Lawyer and FIFA Licensed Agent. I write on the Law and Business of Football- a lot. Repost and Follow me if you want to see more posts like this.

🚨 Harry Maguire’s retrial in Greece now at fifth attempt as he fights allegations of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and attempted bribery. Maguire has been found guilty of non-serious assault and handed suspended 15-month sentence, reduced from original 21 months. Maguire is expected to launch an appeal and always said he did nothing wrong.
