My thoughts on Team One Piece’s official statement
1. Rebuttal Regarding Alleged Negative Talk Behind My Back
The opposing party claims that they neither made nor heard any negative remarks about me behind my back.
However, I believe that the act of excluding me, the team leader, and discussing the possibility of finding and testing a replacement for my position without any prior consultation is in itself the clearest indication of a negative evaluation of me.
It is difficult for any player to interpret an attempt to replace them without their knowledge as having no negative intent.
Furthermore, if this had merely been a casual discussion, it is hard to understand why, once the matter came to light, team members felt the need to apologize and even state their intention to leave the team.
Even if I was temporarily absent at the time, I believe that once I returned, there should have been a proper effort to inform me and explain the situation.
2. Attempt to Exclude Without Consultation
In professional team management, it is normal to consider various possibilities and discuss potential changes.
However, in this case, the fact that a replacement was being sought and a test was being considered without my involvement goes beyond a simple internal discussion.
The fact that an apology was later made further supports this point.
If the intention was truly to improve the team’s performance, I believe I should have been consulted first.
The proper process would generally be:
Announcement → Searching for candidates → Scheduling tests → Conducting tests
However, in this case, the process effectively became:
Searching for candidates → (No announcement)
3. Attempt to Scout and Test a Replacement Player
Based on what I recall from the conversations at the time, there were discussions about approaching a replacement player for testing approximately one week before the tournament.
If the goal was to improve the team’s performance, there should have been an effort to first seek my input and attempt to resolve any issues together.
The fact that such actions were attempted without prior communication is difficult to accept.
4. Refusal to Address the Issue
The opposing party claims that they chose not to raise the issue in order to maintain the team’s focus.
However, especially before an important tournament, I believe it is more appropriate to address and resolve issues through open communication rather than avoid them.
After the tournament, I learned about this situation through a third party and attempted to confirm it. However, the response I received was emotional, and the conversation was ultimately cut off.
As a result, it became difficult to resolve the issue through normal communication.
5. Circumstances Leading to Only Certain Players Leaving
I was informed that the person who initiated the test situation intends to leave the team because of this incident. I have also heard from two other team members that they want to leave together with that person.
I have already suffered emotional distress due to the test situation, and even if I were to stay in the team, three of the core members I worked with during the competition period would be gone. With only one month left until MRI, I believe it would be impossible to achieve meaningful results with newly assembled members.
From my perspective, it feels like I have no real choice in this situation, and I believe the outcome is one where I am the one who has been affected and forced to leave.
6. Summary
The opposing party claims that no decision to replace me was made and that no test was finalized.
However, I believe the core issue is not whether a final decision was made, but rather the fact that, without my knowledge, there were attempts to find and test a replacement in the first place.
I am writing this to explain my current situation to my fans, and also because the Korean Marvel Rivals pro scene is relatively small, I hope that no one else will have to go through a similar experience.

1. 뒤에서의 부정적 이야기 및 뒷담에 대한 반박
상대측은 뒤에서 저에 대해 부정적인 언급을 한 적도, 들은 적도 없다고 주장하고 있습니다.
그러나 팀장인 저를 배제한 채 사전에 어떠한 상의도 없이 제 포지션의 대체자를 찾고, 테스트를 진행하려 논의 했던 행동 자체가 저에 대한 가장 명확한 부정적 평가라고 생각합니다.
어떤 선수가 자신도 모르게 교체를 시도당한 상황을 보고, 이를 부정적인 의도가 없었다고 받아들이기는 어렵습니다.
또한 단순한 논의에 불과했다면, 해당 사실이 밝혀졌을 때 왜 팀원들이 사과를 하고 팀을 떠나겠다는 선택까지 했는지도 쉽게 납득하기 어렵습니다.
그리고 당시 제가 자리를 비운 상황이었다 하더라도, 이후 복귀했을 때 해당 논의에 대해 다시 공유하고 설명하는 과정이 있었어야 했다고 생각합니다.
2. 상의 없는 제외 예정
프로팀 운영 과정에서 다양한 가능성을 열어두고 논의하는 것은 충분히 있을 수 있는 일입니다.
하지만 이번 사안은 저를 제외한 상태에서 대체 인원을 찾고, 테스트를 권유하려했다는 점에서 단순한 내부 논의의 범위를 넘어섰다고 판단합니다.
실제로 해당 행동에 대해 사과가 이루어졌다는 점도 이를 뒷받침합니다.
팀의 완성도를 높이기 위한 결정이었다면, 오히려 더 먼저 저와 논의했어야 했다고 생각합니다.
일반적인 절차는
공지 → 인원 탐색 → 테스트 일정 조율 → 테스트 진행
의 순서로 이루어져야 하지만,
이번 경우에는
인원 탐색 → (공지 없음)
의 방식으로 진행되었습니다.
3. 대체 선수 탐색 및 테스트 확정
당시 제가 기억하는 대화 내용은 , 대회 약 일주일 전에 뒤에서 대체 선수를 대상으로 테스트를 권유하려했다 입니다.
팀의 완성도를 높이기 위한 목적이었다면, 더더욱 저에게 먼저 의견을 묻고 문제를 해결하려는 과정이 선행되었어야 합니다.
그럼에도 불구하고 사전 공유 없이 이러한 시도가 이루어진 점은 납득하기 어렵습니다.
4. 문제 해결 시도에 대한 거절
상대측은 팀 전체의 집중도를 유지하기 위해 해당 사안을 언급하지 않았다고 주장합니다.
하지만 중요한 대회를 앞둔 상황일수록, 문제를 방치하기보다 적극적으로 소통하고 해결하려는 노력이 필요했다고 생각합니다.
대회 종료 후 제3자를 통해 해당 사실을 접한 뒤, 이를 확인하기 위해 질문을 했으나 상대측은 감정적으로 대응하며 대화를 중단했습니다.
이로 인해 정상적인 문제 해결이 어려운 상황이었습니다.
5. 특정 선수만 이탈하게 된 구조
테스트 주동자가 이 사태로 팀을 떠난다고 했을때 테스트 주동자와 함께하고싶다는 다른 두팀원의 의견을 들은상태입니다.
이미 테스트사태로 심적 피해를 받은상태이며,설령 제가 팀에 남아도 대회기간 함께했던 주전멤버 3명이 사라져 MRI한달남은 상태에서 새 멤버와 합을 맞춰 성과를내는것은 불가능하다 판단했습니다.
제 입장에서 선택지가 없는상황으로 느껴지고,제가 피해를 보고 나간 구조가 맞다고 생각합니다.
6. 정리
상대측은 교체를 결정한 적도 없고, 테스트를 확정한 적도 없다고 주장하고 있습니다.
그러나 이 문제의 본질은 ‘결정 여부’가 아니라,
제가 알지 못하는 사이에 대체 선수를 찾고 테스트를 시도하려 했던 그 과정 자체에 있다고 생각합니다.
이 글은 제 팬분들께 현재 제가 처한 상황을 설명드리고, 한국 마블 라이벌즈 프로판이 크지 않은 만큼 비슷한 피해를 보는 인원이 발생하지 않았으면 하는 마음에서 작성하게 되었습니다.
