Using queers for Palestine and chickens for kfc is dumb, all it is a rhetorical device that is shallow. Because to be honest if you actually analyze what has happened in Gaza it is unacceptable, so you commit the tu quoque fallacy and perform mental gymnastics to try and make Israel seem somewhat of a hero.

‘Suicidal Empathy’ is such a perfectly judged phrase for some of the most misguided tendencies in many Western governments, including Britain’s, that it has already taken hold in mainstream conversations – despite @GadSaad’s book of that name not even being out yet. Now, the wait is nearly over, and the book is out in less than one month. It was a pleasure to speak with him about it yesterday, before we sat down for a longer discussion on antisemitism and Islam.

I’m sorry people on the internet are disgusting, I am truly sorry. I pray for your father, I know how it feels to be in a vulnerable situation, I have lost relatives in Palestine and I don’t want that feeling on anyone else, irregardless of what they said in the past. Because people learn and grow, I hope your father is doing fine, I watched a lot of his lectures, they are amazing.

The real suffering is akathisia, renamed and misdiagnosed so that we don’t even know what percentage of people suffer from it. Depression or bipolar doesn’t even touch that. That’s the problem that needs to be addressed. And this is coming from someone who had disabling depression. The disabling depression was a joke compared to the neurological damage left by the medications that helped me. That’s where we need research. As for psych meds treating mental disorders? They don’t. Ketogenic research address energy deficits is actual treatment.

It is probably one of the most rigorous studies we have on antidepressant withdrawal. They explicitly screened for it using a DESS scale. I agree that there are certainly limitations, especially blinding and symptom overlap. but it is not the same as saying the findings are meaningless. My main criticism is of the absolutism in this debate. The assumption that every use of antidepressants inevitably leads to withdrawal, or that any demonstrated antidepressant benefit is therefore meaningless, is too far removed from a serious academic reading of the literature. Such overstatement ends up discrediting the real suffering

Is this a serious post? How exactly did they differentiate withdrawal from relapse? No serious scientist would miss that major confounding variable. Alex Clark has some good ideas and I've enjoyed listening to her podcast in the past, but I don't think it's wise for her to have a prominent role at TPUSA's Women's Leadership Conference considering that she's still unmarried at age 33. I'd much rather see a woman up on the stage who has embraced marriage and motherhood, like Rachel Wilson or Gina Bontempo. It makes no sense to me that a woman like Alex is still single if she truly holds conservative Christian values. What could be stopping her from finding a husband after all these years? She's famous for her conservative views, and there are so many great guys who would love to marry an attractive conservative Christian woman.
