If you renewed a passport that was say 9 years 1 month old, they’d stick the remaining 11 months onto the new passport. Some countries insist on 10 yr validity on passports. Came up less before we left the EU, does a lot more now.

Just tried boarding a flight to Spain. My passport runs out June 2027. Was refused boarding because apparently it ran out in 2026 according to new European rules😳🫤Can anyone explain this to me? I’m now stuck @Ryanair @ukhomeoffice - check your passports people. Who knew .

What they’ve done away with now is the practice of adding extra time on and making some people’s expiry dates over 10 years/ outside the common standard for validity.

The second official Hamas document is a list of PCPA operatives, some of whom are high-ranking well-known Hamas operatives. Among the names on the list are Zaher Birawi, who serves as Head of the PCPA’s Hamas sector in the UK, and who is known as a leader of the demonstration flotillas to the Gaza Strip over the past 15 years (number 19 in the document), and Saif Abu Kashk (number 25 in the document), an operative from the organization in Spain. This document was found in a Hamas outpost in the Gaza Strip and proves again their direct connection between the flotilla leaders and Hamas. In addition to being a Hamas-aligned PCPA operative, Abu Kashk is the CEO of Cyber Neptune, a front company in Spain that owns dozens of the ships participating in the “Sumud” flotilla. I can only imagine the pain these parents are going through but I do wonder at what point the media start questioning some of the - frankly, offensive and misleading - comments they are making. Blaming a murderer’s parents for his mental illness should not be left unchallenged.
