_Generally_ (and yes, this is the internet, so less so), folk recognise their biases, their experiences, their qualifications (or otherwise) to assess the suitability of a technology. That seems to go by the wayside for a significant proportion of folk on that sub.

I'm somewhat fascinated by r/dataengineering. It has to be second only to HN when it comes to both insightful & articulate content from some folk, coupled with complete and utter BS spoken by others with the confidence of someone who doesn't realise how full of shit they are…

I love this. I legit redid my closet and removed the doors because if I didn't see my clothes, I wouldn't remember they existed. It makes the room look more chaotic, but that's okay for stopping waste from buying stuff I already have.
