@omgsidewalks not only that, but people have romanticized depression specifically to the point where they see ppl who are ACTUALLY depressed (unkept, living in filth, etc), & they use it as ammo and immediately start to demonize them. it’s disgusting.

No one actually likes you when you're depressed. Plain and simple. We can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. They see you as negative, a burden, and someone too heavy to handle.
