A lot of fans only watch/read and consume Star Wars media which has negatively harmed discussions.

@DarksaberLight I don't think Dave filoni is interested in giving women proper povs icl. He obviously doesn't care much about women who don't prioritise fighting.
It would also be interesting to contrast their backgrounds as satine is a hereditary monarchy while padmé is just middle class

@notforredlights I've always wished that TCW would have given Padme and Satine a scene where they argue about those particulars. But I love that we do get to see them in action in "Corruption" when Padme takes up a blaster and fights directly but Satine chooses not to.

@DarksaberLight I would say her politics are similar to those espoused by Judith butler in the force of non-violence. Yes violence is sometimes necessary but from a feminist perspective the belief that it's inevitable is patriarchal propaganda

However she also believes in a just war and understands sometimes violent resistance is necessary
