I hate adding (multi)select values to Notion more than my mom hates my dad’s cheesy dad jokes. So I add them in bulk with this trick. 👇

@notionmax Yeah you have to use a connector of some sorts. There are paid ones that are very straightforward but then again you need to pay a subscription. I found a way to do it in Make in just a few steps so 15min and you have the connection ready.

Lol just found the easiest way to create a two way sync between Notion and Google Calendar for free. I have been looking at topics for my first solo YouTube video and this might just be it. Yay or nay?

@ZikiDoesNotion Looking forward to your video! I haven’t found a way to do it so far. It’s one of the things I really miss in Notion: a Google Calendar integration & AI help to write formulas 😅

Does anyone else have multiple @NotionHQ accounts? I used to have one account for everything, but now I prefer to keep businesses & personal separate. Curious to know how others do it…

@ZikiDoesNotion Minimalist with a dash of colour, I love it! 🤩 And a Notion playground?! Such a good idea!

@Productivly1 Nope, you’re definitely not alone 😅 I go through it once a week and keep the things I actually want /can do in the future. Then discard the rest. I started that list because I noticed all these ideas were a way to procrastinate. This list helps me stay focused on my goals.

@Productivly1 I think this is pretty common for people who love Notion… For me, it’s not just structures: New templates, new systems, new projects,… I started keeping a list with all my ideas I can work on in the future. It was the only thing that helped me to not get too distracted 🤣

@ZikiDoesNotion Same here 🙋‍♀️ If I have to do something twice, I'm already looking for ways to automate it 😂 The best system I've set up so far is the one for cleaning/organising my computer (local & cloud files). Saves so much time! What's your favourite?

I’m lazy. But being lazy isn't always a bad thing if you know how to make it work for you. Back when I led support teams, I came up with an idea that would allow me to automate 50% of one of my teams’ workflows because I was tired of watching them waste time clicking buttons and get frustrated doing it. Then I taught my team how to adopt the same way of thinking and together we optimized 80% of their workflows in just one year. Now, as a solopreneur, I refuse to waste time clicking buttons myself. Instead, I've built systems that support my workflows and constantly look for ways to automate my processes. And I do the same for my clients.

@notionplates 4 weeks. I set 3 objectives and add deadlines for each week. Still experimenting with it (I got the inspiration from the 12-Week Year), but this works well for me so far.

@ZikiDoesNotion I used to do this when I was new to Notion😬🙈 Now I create separate "Database" pages to store & hide all the original databases. Then I use views / linked databases in my workspace. This way, I always know where my original databases are. (And I can't accidentally delete one😅)

2. Frontend and backend mix-up I have seen clients using unfiltered full-page databases for their daily work which is not manageable, let alone scalable.

@soltwagner Depends on the situation. I usually use a combination of different navigations: synced blocks, sidebar, and (occasionally) linked pages.

How do you create the navigation in your Notion template? What is the best approach? 👇 - Using synced block to list the pages? - Using linked pages? - Using linked URLs to the pages? - Without navigation, simply using the pages in the Notion sidebar? - Any other options?

@AmandaMGoetz Great points, @AmandaMGoetz! I've just started a newsletter and couldn't agree more about POV. When I write, I imagine I'm sending an email to a friend & helping them out. Still a lot to learn, but committed to making this work 💪

Prediction for 2024: More people and brands will start newsletters. But many will fail..... The power of owning your audience is apparent. But most newsletters won't make it. Why? 2 reasons. 1. Earned Audience > Acquired Audience 2. Wrong POV

Question for people who are building a newsletter: how many newsletters have you scheduled in advance? Week-to-week seems the quickest way for me to fail...

@notionmax @NotionHQ @credly I've been using notion for 3 years, so the database part was easy for me. What was shocking was my lack of knowledge of teamspace. I used the flashcards from @heyproductivity to catch up on that.
