@guernseyliz14 @Sandra55 There are loads of exercise classes, gyms and personal trainers in Guernsey. Some have special classes or sessions for over 50s or 60s. My Mum is 86 and attends exercise classes with arthritis guernsey in which she can remain seated.

@fundylady Well done. Did my 166th Park Run this morning. It's addictive once you get into it.

@oldfarmhorace @RossLeBrun There's a shepherd vibe going on. Just need to get some sheep for you and the dogs to herd.

I am officially two thirds the man I was on August 15th last year! #mounjaro

@oldfarmhorace @RossLeBrun Well done. I don't really want to see pictures of your naked torso (not what I'm into) but part of me thinks it would be compelling to watch the weight loss journey. Maybe clothed pictures is the solution?

@RossLeBrun I did. But still can't ride it without falling off. I will persevere.

@oldfarmhorace @advocategreen1 Ross Le Brun is the only candidate that has ideas for affordable housing, chose to go on the committee that deals with it
He also hasn’t stopped being politically active and influencing the states
He has drive and ability and a proven work ethic

Consistency should be the North Star in your training. Mileage and intensity are obviously outcomes of training, but it’s consistency that leads to the most improvement over time. Every decision guiding your training should come back to one question: What keeps me healthy and able to train tomorrow and next week?
If mileage is your North Star, you might shrug off that nagging knee tendonitis because you “have to get your miles in.” While in reality, you could spend a week or two pushing the elliptical, doing split squat isometrics, and not lose any fitness. You might even come back feeling fresh and stronger.
The same applies if intensity becomes your North Star. You don’t actually need to do a hard workout if your Achilles is flaring up. Think consistency first. Do some hard bike intervals instead. Add some jump rope and Bulgarian soleus raises. Address the issue while maintaining your fitness.
At its core, successful or unsuccessful training is simply a series of decisions. When you recognize that consistency is the single biggest determinant of long-term progress, those decisions become much easier to make.

@guernseyliz14 That's a shame. I have enjoyed eating octopus several times recently in Guernsey restaurants. If we eat enough of them hopefully the crabs will come back too.
