designing this took 18 hours, two tools, and taste you can't prompt even if you wanted to. 😉

my first design gig paid me ~$0.50 poster design in Canva for a music producer, almost 10 years ago. it’s close to ₹50 Indian Rupees. I was 13 and debated whether spending a fraction of that on a bag of chips was a smart financial move. 😂 10 years later, the average project I take on is around $2.5k long way to go :)

In 2025, my first invoice was $50 for a logo. The most recent one was $11,500 for a project. If you told me a year ago I'd be invoicing that amount of money, I'd think you're a scammer.

27 reasons your users are dropping off during onboarding. if you have 5+ of these, it’s a nightmare: 1.asking for too much info before giving any value 2. no clear idea of what happens after they sign up 3.trying to show everything the product does on day one 4. no empty state so the product looks broken on arrival 5.onboarding built for the average user and nobody’s average 6.too many steps before the first “aha” moment 7.copy is unclear 8. no progress indicator so they don’t know how far they are 9.asking for a credit card before they’ve felt anything worth paying for 10.tooltips covering the exact thing they’re trying to click 11.welcome email sends them back to a screen they’ve already seen 12. no difference between what needs setting up now and what can wait 13.the product makes them feel stupid before it makes them feel capable 14. no moment in the first session where they think “this is actually good” 15.bad mobile experience 16.error messages are generic with no direction on how to fix anything 17.everyone’s onboarded the same way regardless of use case 18. no save and continue so users who get interrupted don’t come back 19.first dashboard’s so dense it feels overwhelming before it feels useful 20. no human touchpoint anywhere in the first 48 hours 21.internal jargon that means nothing to a first time user 22.slow loading states 23.skipping onboarding breaks the experience downstream 24.notifications on by default [ feels invasive ] 25.product doesn’t remember anything from a previous session 26. no celebration of the first win no matter how small 27.user finishes onboarding and still has no idea what to do next if more than 5 of these sound familiar, your onboarding is costing you users you already paid to acquire. time to fix it.

In January I asked myself, why do I want to just 2x the growth this year? what does 10x look like? why is there a ceiling? then here's how Feb 2026 went: > onboarded 2 new designers onto the team > 2 website design & dev projects complete > 2 product design projects ongoing + 2 coming up this week > 1 website design project ongoing > $12b valued company in the pipeline 👀 > shipped a new + cleaner version of our website full focus has shifted to fulfillment and doing very meaningful work instead of mass producing designs. march looks hella busy for Maydit, so expanding the team in Feb was a good move. feb 2026 has been a very special month for me building the dream agency I'm working towards. there's so much more work to do. I'm so grateful I get to do this and work with some of the best in this space.

redesigned the services section on our website! we had a v cool card stacking interaction before - i noticed in session recordings that a lot of visitors couldn't view the info clearly this new layout is less ambitious for sure, but definitely solves the problem - exactly what good design is supposed to do :) shipping more updates soon!

our first b2e client landed 3 enterprise deals in 2 months after we revamped their site ✊🏽 what they came to us with: they had 10+ years of proven outcomes but zero brand presence as a new company so we positioned them as the established industry leaders they actually were [ + threw in a pitch deck redesign for free bcz we're nice people :) ] most b2e companies neglect design completely - that's exactly why it works so well when you get it right
