@TheTrueVanguard @KnownAsSys Even if d3 is expensive I feel like it’s the logical option. The path they’re going down is just going to end with the company bought for 3.6 billion being shutdown completely.

Not commenting on Cross, but it’s a lot more complicated than that. Games are pricey to make. Destiny is SO expensive to make that even selling 2.5 million copies of a DLC is considered an absolute failure. Committing to Destiny 3 would likely mean: - At least 5 years of development - $500m or more - Maybe even selling their physical studio and moving to a location that ISNT in one of the most expensive places in America (average family home in Bellevue is literally $1.6m) Sony would have to be okay with making no money off of Bungie for at least half a decade for this to become a reality. It’s… well it’s not a very realistic expectation but it’s certainly hopeful. Unfortunately I think Destiny’s ship may have sailed. Something drastic needed to happen 5 years ago, not 5 years from now.

If more creators do the same thing Aztecross is doing, then we might actually be able to force a greenlight for D3. Goodwill in the larger creator space is incredibly important, and I very highly doubt that a company as successful as Sony doesn't understand this.

@PaulTassi Seems like a no win situation for destiny fans. If marathon succeeds Sony is going to look at that like letting destiny die was the right decision.

I havent played Destiny in what seems like years, but I will log in June 9th. Not that I think it will make a difference with Sony at the helm, but if theres a chance to make them realise what they have, this is it. #Destiny3

@evanf1997_ With the game ending here it would be a shame if it wasn’t left with something from every raid. Would just seem strange to leave those two out

we don't know for sure if these two won't be included, but in the promo art for pantheon 2.0 both of these do not make an appearance

The only 2 raids we will never have any version of by the end of Destiny 😢

If there's one thing a future Destiny game needs it's a "council" of dedicated players from both the pve and pvp side of the community that devs can bounce ideas off of. They don't even have to pay them I know plenty of people who would do it for free

This confuses me bc it actually just seems like Bungie said fuck destiny, put out marathon, it flopped and gg's. If this is true, I can't really see Bungie existing a year from now, because I don't think marathon will be enough.
