The one thing I will say about the Rams is they're right there. This is a legit, serious Super Bowl contender next year. Make the right moves in the offseason and we should have a chance to be right back in position.

The most improbable of runs, after a 1-4 start. This Rams team grew up tough together all year, with some vets who hung tough too. What an end they made it, if it had to end.

Ain't much you can do or say. Those ended this game. Can't afford mistakes when the talent disparity is as great as it is between these two teams.

This defense did so much better than I thought they would have. But when it mattered most the offense shot themselves in the foot. Again. And again. And again.
1-4 to the Divisional should not be overlooked, but this is a really bitter ending.

The Marlins are making $70M in rev sharing this year and are being expressly directed to spend it on player payroll and just... aren't. I know it's not fully equalizing but there are measures in place to allow the money to get spread out better and some teams just don't use it

The Dodgers' deal with ex-Marlins Tanner Scott leaves them with $375 M 2025 payroll. The Marlins entire payroll this decade (six years, including 2025) is $429 M. The refusal of the union and MLB to agree on a cap and a floor has ruined the sport for at least a handful of teams.
