I'm using the desktop tool mainly. Apart form UI glitches. /compress doesn't compress rg searchtool is broken on windows (I patched locally but maybe fixed now as its a known issue). Sometimes the session gets stuck, as in /new will not 'new' so the app remains permanently stuck to that session. Then I have to open hermes terminal to /new in there, which clears it.

Updated Hermes Agent right before bed last night. Opened Desktop this morning… 141 new commits merged. Apparently the Nous Crew doesn’t sleep. They just quietly rebuild the damn spaceship overnight. Time to dig in and see what they blessed us with now. 🪽

@Teknium Hey Ryan, on the MacOS @NousResearch app, the row left of the session timer keeps shifting as the session timer counts (instead of being fixed in place). Could this be fixed please? Thank you

i couldn't update the firmware for my aranet4. over adb, hermes agent just pulled the apk, decompiled the aranet android app, pulled the firmware file from my model, orchestrated using the nrf connect app to put it in DFU mode, pushed the firmware, and now it works again. based?

@NousResearch @Teknium After Hermes update I was facing the error while loading the terminal: "Terminal failed to start: Error invoking remote method 'hermes:terminal:start': Error: posix_spawnp failed." I asked Hermes to fix itself and this is what I got (screenshot). Thought you should know.

couple things - pytest alone isn't how we do our tests, running them like that will cause plenty of failures due to multiple test files patching the same thing different ways. use scripts /run_tests.sh, which runs each test file in is own Python process for isolation. a handful of tests probably assert read/write for dirs docker doesn't have writable, but those are code paths not exercised while running under docker and there's probably a bunch of actual failures too ^^ once you do #1, you should get the exact same tests failing every time, and at that point I'd appreciate a github ticket asking us to run tests in docker && fix em :3

I'm on macOS 15.7.8 (Apple Silicon) using Docker 4.80.0. Those numbers are all the completely stock Docker images from the Hermes public project. I've done hundreds of baseline runs and never seen one with zero failures, so I assumed that was just the project heartbeat. Since failures are always slightly sporadic across rows, my automation runs four times to determine the reliable successes & failures, and I've been comparing against those for my own work (entirely outside of all of this).

Been working for a while (intermittently) on some novel security hardening for Hermes. I'm vetting all changes against their published Docker test suite so when this turns into a PR, @Teknium won't instantly reject it. Hermes' release cadence is at the expense of those tests. Here's how many failures I have recorded in their stock config: - May 1: 27 faliing tests - May 31: 90 faliing tests - July 4: 433 faliing tests Not my project, not my business, but I hope this will be reversed and quickly. There's no demand for 60 new versions a day, but there is demand for a safe, reliable, innovative harness. There's a presumption these tests are a key part of proving one of those.

@macintogdev @Teknium yo!! are you trying to do scripts/run_tests.sh from inside the docker image? we don't do that atm, though it's definitely something we wanna fix, a lot of tests are super brittle how're you reproducing these failures?

@Teknium @nous_ethernet Happy to help if anything I can add. I'm trying to be as little of a burden as possible. I had assumed there was parity. I know you're on the far side of a firehose of retardation. Last thing I intend is to add to it.

@70ngas @NousResearch I had this issue, i ended up just turning off GPU render acceleration and it went away
