I went out on a mission to figure out what the easiest way was to generate PDF's in a Laravel app on Cloud. Turns out @Cloudflare makes it dead simple with its PDF browser rendering API. (gist link in reply below)

@JustSteveKing Chained is nice when it's a lot of cruddy requests. Google's sdk does this a lot. When it's not setup for Crud then I prefer the concrete classes for better IDE support.

A quick question to the community. When working with a third party API, do you prefer to send specific requests (new ListPostsRequest) or have chain SDK methods ($sdk->posts()->list())

@simonhamp Not to give you way more work to do but it might be worth wrapping that in a Device class. That way Device::vibrate() would figure out the platform and run the appropriate iOS::vibrate() or Android::vibrate()

Today I'm building a custom PHP extension that can speak directly to Swift This will let you do things like: Native\Laravel\iOS::vibrate() Native\Laravel\iOS::getCurrentCoordinates() And more! I'm deeper in this than i ever thought possible And I'm absolutely loving it 😻

I've let the Laravel team loose on the new VS Code extension for early internal testing. Initial favorites seem to be the linking (my personal fav, feels like I'm just flying around the codebase) and test runner. I'll keep y'all posted when we move to external testing. 👌
