@ConstableChaos @BritishGas Even had emails to me, starting with Dear Lesley (mums name). How you can get it this wrong is beyond me. You're right, everything else was plain sailing. Even probate only took a week.

Just had the most ridiculous call with @BritishGas trying and failing to sort out deceased mothers accounts with them (they were first notified a month ago) ... it's a good job I'm not a highly distressed grieving relation trying to manage a very difficult and emotional situation

@ConstableChaos @BritishGas I'm a customer of @britishgas myself but as soon as I have the head space I'm off. Don't want anyone to have to deal with this shit once I'm gone.

@ConstableChaos @BritishGas Went through the web site for the bereavement process and that should have been it. All correspondence since has gone back to mums old house in my name, which I didn't have a redirect on and handed the keys back in October. Indian call centre absolutely useless.

@np_smith Background music was generally refreshed from a Vertical Sync ( VSYNC ) interrupt that happens 50/60 times per second, depending on the video system of the computer. The MUSIC driver/player refresh routine would then time step the processing/playing and update the sound chip.

I just found the source code for the very first NES Music Driver developed by Software Creations - coded by Ste Ruddy. A much enhanced version of this was later used in Solstice, Silver Surfer, Pictionary, Wolverine etc. BTW 'banana' was the codename we used for our NES work.

@CommodoreBlog Only got the Plus/4, cassette deck and a couple of games. Didn't come with the joystick so bought separately. Knackered so many joysticks playing Daley Thompson's Star Events.
