The incident was captured on video obtained by Deadline. Multiple sources confirm to Deadline that the accident occurred after the window was replaced with an unsecured sheet of tempered glass to be purposefully shattered in a later stunt that did not involve any actors. Since the tempered glass was only sitting loosely in the window, both the actors and the sheet of glass fell about six feet to the ground. Kilcoyne required stitches “all over his hands” after the incident, sources with knowledge of the incident say. One crew member, who says they arrived on set after the incident to help reset the scene told Deadline on the condition of anonymity: “When I got there, nobody mentioned anything about people falling out the window…It seemed weird to me.” Read more details here: deadline.com/2026/04/jonath…

Dumbledore actor John Lithgow says "much" of J.K. Rowling's "imputed prejudice" has "been twisted and misrepresented" but "I do disagree with much of it." “The whole subject of Rowling’s imputed prejudice, it came up after everything was already underway. I’d already said yes […] I was urged to walk away, and I was not about to do that. The reasons to do it were much, much stronger than the reasons to protest against what Rowling has done and said. I do disagree with much of it, much of it I think has been twisted and misrepresented, and she has doubled down on it at her own cost... I have not met her. The other positive on the ‘Harry Potter’ project is the people who have taken it on themselves. Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod have an extraordinary partnership. Francesca… she persuaded me, she’s the big reason I took it on.” (via The New Yorker) variety.com/2026/film/news…
